Job Description For HSEQ Team Lead With Stork:

To provide leadership to a professional team, implement and execute HSSEQ strategy from both a global and regional perspective; support and advise business areas to deliver improved HSSEQ compliance and performance, in line with legislative, company and client expectations

Tasks And Responsibilities As HSEQ Team Lead:

Health & Safety  

  • Supporting Corporate HSSEQ Objectives (REACH)
  • Support business unit in:
    • Accident / incident investigation
    • Review of hazard identification and risk assessment
    • Delivery ofoccupational health requirement compliance
    • Participate in business Emergency Response requirements
    • Maintenance of IMS procedures to comply with current legislative standards 

Operational Support 

  • Provide guidance and coaching on HSSEQ aspects pertinent to business area
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of HSSEQ legislation
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of technical standard and specification requirements for area of responsibility
  • Accountable for delivery of plans for each contract by HSEQ Advisors
  • Support HSSEQ induction and training requirements to ensure consistency across the business and evaluate effectiveness
  • Deliver direct functional support to product line / contract within area of business 


  • Supervise the assigned team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure that the team works within Company procedures and standards
  • Implement and manage people performance, including P&D and input to pay reviews with direct reports
  • Ensure that all direct reports are managed in accordance within Stork Policies and Procedures and possess the prerequisite skills and competence to perform their role safely and effectively
  • Review the performance, conduct &capability direct reports
  • Identify, recruit and evaluate team composition in relation to both Stork’s and the Clients expectations 


  • Support business delivery of relevant HSSEQ plans
  • Support the business in review of safety and environmental legal registers
  • Participate in the delivery of the company audit plans both internal and external
  • Support relevant systems for continuous improvement 


  • Support Quality Manager in relationships with LRQA Auditors in respect of IMS Audits
  • Support Audits with Clients and other body’s such as FPAL/LRQA
  • Co-operate with Clients and other bodies during HSSEQ Audits 

Customer Relations 

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to produce HSSEQ performance metrics relevant
  • Liaise with customers to develop and produce project/contract specific interface documents
  • Attend customer meetings in relation to HSSEQ issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer relations and implement

Specific Requirements For HSEQ Team Lead:


  • Degree qualified
  • Auditing qualification
  • Incident Investigation
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • COSHH Assessor
  • Membership of IOSH or IIRSM
  • NEBOSH (NGC) and working towards NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational H&S or equivalent 


  • Previous experience in HSSEQ Advisor’s role
  • Significant level of experience, understanding and interpretation of Health and Safety legislation
  • Experience of fabric maintenance HSSEQ requirements
